Kerstin Hehmann lives as a freelance photographer in Osnabrück. She studied art education (focus on photography) and literature (focus on media) at the Universities of Osnabrück and Vienna. She completed several semesters at the Ostkreuz School for Photography in Berlin with Prof. Ute Mahler and Sybille Bergemann, among others.
Kerstin Hehmann's photographic works are guided by an interest in cinematic issues. By observing everyday life and examining the boundaries between what is real and what is not, her photographs move between documentation and fiction.
Kerstin Hehmann's photographs have been exhibited in galleries and institutions in Germany, Greece, Tunisia, the Netherlands and Great Britain. "ROXY" your photo book about cinema and film festivals was represented at many international photo book festivals.
